Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Submitted for your scrutiny: My recent purchase 2000 Arctic Silver Cab (with bolt on hardtop) Manual shift 38,500 miles excellent shape=not a scratch, no leaks bought from second owner service records= recent preventative L&N dual row IMS bearing and clutch/RMS Bought for $26,000 So, not the deal of the century. However, thought this was fair price to seller and though I will lose on resale due to further mileage/depreciation, I felt condition/peace of mind justified price. Could have bought similar for about $4,000 less but 20K more miles and no IMS/new clutch. So, fair price or I ripped myself off? LOL

POST 2Original post

Time will tell. If its all tuned up and ready to go and all you have to do is drive its a bargain. The extra couple thousand you paid would be spent quickly if you had to do anything to the car.

POST 3Original post

If you did your research about current market prices in your region BEFORE purchase and believe you got a good deal....that's all that really matters now. There will always be others who got a " better price" than you did.........always. Anyway, congrats and welcome.

POST 4Original post

Based on your description of the vehicle, I'd say you got yourself a pretty good deal

POST 5Original post

Can't believe I did not say this before. Congrats. And if no pics it didn't happen.

POST 7Original post

That was not a GOOD deal. From your description, that was an excellent deal IMHO. You DID get the deal of the century. Well chosen. Lets see the photo's.
