Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My wife and I have made this one of our 4 day adventures for the last 20 years. It is getting more and more difficult to obtain an in-field pass much less a Porsche Paddock parking pass. I hesitated last year for about a week and could not get one. If you are thinking about going to the Rolex 24 in January absolutely the best place to park is the Porsche parking paddock. Porsche's Only! Parking passes for the 2016 Daytona Rolex 24 Porsche Car Corral go on sale to the public tomorrow - 18 September. If you are interested in them I recommend that you order immediately. The event has been selling out earlier and earlier each year. Many long-term participants missed out last year because they waited only a few weeks to get theirs. Don't let that happen to you. Call the ticket office at Daytona International Speedway. The number I have is [phone removed]. It is a great event and the location PCA negotiated is the same as last year and it is perfect. Garage passes and breakfast tickets are also available when you call. I hope to see you all there. Another phone number directly to the ticket office [phone removed]. All in 4 day PCA admission/PCA parking/full garage access $280

You need to talk to JI and get some comp tickets.

POST 4Original post

PCA corral sold out in under 2hrs already. 😩

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yep. I saw the other PCA email this morning. Only 190 corral passes available and they didn't even go public. Went to people on the wait list first, then to past ticket holders. I purchased my tickets in June and put my name on the PCA wait list specifically for this reason. You can probably still get an in-field parking pass. Beats parking in the muddy off track parking areas and walking miles. They do have a great shuttle service for getting around.

yup, Daytona, who controls and sells the tickets, told us they sold out in 18 minutes.....

FYI - the entire speedway has been renovated. We went down to an earlier race (Continental Series I think) and sat in the grandstands. The new escalators and concourses on each level were really awesome. Serve up beer, all manner of food and the restrooms were very good. The new seating is really good as well. You can go up so high you can see the entire track. So high in fact I chickened out! There are also some great viewing platforms at the end of the grandstands. So even if one were to drop by for a day in the grandstands it really is a spectacle worthy of daily admission.

My wife and I will be there again this year. It is a really cool event. The open pit prior to the race was awesome got to speak with Porsche's Drivers and crew. The money-raising event - The Taste of 24 was cool too - great food and drinks in all the luxury suites - great place to view the race at night. Will be there with the new Guards Red GT4. Here are some pics from last year...
