Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Gang An inexpensive and easy DIY. Makes a big difference. Got a set from pelican and the car is smoother and I swear it shifts a ton better. Just passing it along. T

I wondered why I hadn't done them sooner

Wow, this is a shocking discovery! I guess it sounds more official depending on who's delivering the message.

POST 9Original post

I thought this was a post from Jonh Ireland. Didn't he just post something about this like a week or so ago? In any case, how did you know that you needed to to it? I don't have any history if mine were changed, but I do not feel anything that would say that I should swap them out. DC

How many miles on your car? What year model is it? How are the conditions of the roads you travel? Where do you live? Do you autocross or DE? Do you know anything about previous owner(s) in regards to the previous questions? A combination of the above will help further determine whether new mounts could help you other than the usual obvious(sloppy shifting, handling issues, low hanging exhaust tips, signs of fluid leaking, etc) issues. At worst, they are relatively cheap at under $200 and easy enough to DIY for most peeps on here in an hour or so of your time and something that WILL wear out over time anyways.

POST 11Original post

Made no noticeable difference to me at 75K miles...... I wasn't really having issues before, but wanted to see if it would make a noticeable difference, they didn't.

POST 12Original post

Did mine about 1.5yrs ago at about 55K milled after noticed significant vibration in the passenger seat at idle and also had one exhaust tip hanging lower with a history of having been adjust to level with other in the months preceding my purchase.

POST 13Original post

I don't mind that my passenger seat vibrates a bit. What else am I missing?

POST 14Original post

I have had my car for less then a month, but it has 113,000 miles. I have not autocrossed or DE'd yet, and there is no history if it having been done previously. The PO's did leave a lit of maintenance, but no receipts, they were destroyed because of PPI all over them (credit card info, addresses and the such) I am not experiencing any of the listed symptoms, but at that price point, it maybe a weekend job to tackle, just for piece of mind and to say that is was done.
