Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

While I tried to be careful, obviously I wasn't. After removing the starter, I realized this tube either became disconnect or snapped. Can anyone tell me what it is and where the other end connects? The first picture shows one connection right above the alternator. The second pic shows it dangling in the middle of the pic (just to the right and slightly above where the starter goes). Thanks so much Rennlisters!!

POST 2Original post

Any chance that's the same line shown here at the back of the intake runners?

POST 4Original post

It sure helps me. It tells me which direction to drive in.

Yes, that is exactly it!!! Because of your pic, I fished around for the other tube and found it. By any chance, do you have another pic from the other side? I want to make sure it's properly inserted into the intake runners and that I didn't accidentially loosen it when the lines separated. Thank you again Scott!!

The line from that goes to the rear plenum on the right. (Rear meaning towards the front from the rear bumper).

DB, Thank you for sending this!! Perfect. While it's hard to tell exactly how the hose is inserted into the rear into the resonance flap, I think I get it. I was able to verify that it is inserted, button everything back up, crossed my fingers and started her up. What a difference a new starter and cables make! Thanks to you guys who chimed it. You were truly lifesavers. I was preparing for a tow to my mechanic when I thought I'd give Rennlist a shot and you definitely didn't disappoint! What an incredible body of knowledge.

But it's a pain to have to re-route the lines every time you drive in reverse.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
