The rear b quarter panel interior trim piece on my 2000 996 Coupe is starting to deteriorate. Looks like maybe water leaked in or is currently seeping through the rear window seal. Natural brown leather. It looks tacky and I'd like to replace it. Would it be easier to buy a new trim panel (if you can??) or just have a shop that specializes in interior upholstery just recover it?
I'd opt to replace.
I would look for a used one. The sunroof drain tube is back there, might want to check that the sunroof drains are not clogged.
