Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hoping the brain trust can help me with this one. I've become infatuated with the RPMTechnik CSR, specifically the aesthetics. The one piece I can't figure out (and isn't shown on their site) is what exhaust tips are used. They LOOK like they are the optional sport tips (EP 4110) tips from the 996.1 cars, but research has shown me that they do not fit 996.2 cars. I like the fact that the oval fits the exhaust notch in the bumper, and the slash-cut tip instead of the rolled tip of the stock tips. Is there a way to make the 996.1 tips fit onto a 996.2? TIA

POST 3Original post

^Thats a bit harsh. Collectively were at least at the monkey level.

POST 4Original post

Pics? Mk1 tips r about an inch shorter and they will fit because they r located in the same spot but may melt the bumper. I may be interested in your mk1 tips if u decide to sell.

The regular CSR looks like it has the regular oval tips. I have those on my 40AE but I'm pretty sure they came on other .2 cars too. The CSR EVO seems to have something that resembles 991 GT3 or GT4 tips that are found on center exit exhausts.

In this picture, yes I agree they look stock. It just seems like they look different in other pictures (ones that I cannot find after their website redesign). For the record, these are what I thought they were: While that exhaust is UNDOUBTEDLY cooler, I checked out the component prices and the $5k+ was a **BIT** more than I want to spend on the exhaust LOL

Well, you know what they say about monkeys and typewriters. Figured it was worth rolling the dice!

POST 8Original post

Just send them an email - they are easy to work with from my experience and I didn’t even end up buying from them. [email removed]

POST 9Original post

I might be wrong but I think you're comparing .1 exhaust tips to those on .2 cars.

I am; that was the source of my confusion. I thought I was seeing .1 tips on a .2 car.

Just hit them up, Simon has been pretty good to deal with. I inquired about the center exhaust set up... so freaking nice.
