Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Remove plug from battery (if it still has one) and plug the black piece into the hole. Usually on the 996 you plug the vent hose "L" in the vent hole nearest the positive terminal. It's really that simple to do.

POST 10Original post

A lot of these new batteries have vent holes that are somewhat hidden/obscured.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Are we sure Im am suppose to pull this out? The one on the negative side has no plug.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

New battery. Shop put in when bumper was fixed at shop.

POST 13Original post

I have an Interstate and plugged the vent line in on that negative end.

POST 14Original post

You can plug it into either side if the vent hose will reach. If you remove that plug, you can put it on the other side.

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ill plug into negative and hope for the best.
