Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

After picking up a 2003 Cab a few weeks ago I spontaneously purchased a hardtop on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/193325732934 I subsequently learned that there are 2 different types of mounting hardware and I'm trying to figure out of my car is compatible with it. Even thought the VIN shows hardtop delete, it has the mounting hardware installed and it seems to be the non-thread type hardtop receiver Can anyone tell from the ebay pics if the hardtop has the correct hardware to mount, or will I need to purchase the retrofit kit retrofit, p/n 000.043.300.46? I emailed the seller asking for better pics but they are closed for the time being. Thanks!

You have the bayonet type mount. It's difficult to see which type the top has in the photos. Can you ask the seller which model year the top is from? The mounting hardware is available and can be swapped, but it's not cheap.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
