I'm thinking of breaking up the monotonous grey in the interior of my coupe. Right now the car is Lapis Blue with Graphite Grey and it's a bit too grey in there. I originally considered painting some trim pieces but I've since been turned on to deviating carpet colors that were special ordered ( gota911's old car ). Post pics if you have a two tone interior or painted up/ swapped out/carbon fibered? up interiors. Got something Unique? Post it up!! Need to get some inspiration going!!

I added aluminum gauge rings and painted the three dash trim strips in "alumalook" paint. Adds a little bit and breaks up the dashboard. '99 C2: Oh, I also painted the ashtray and window switch surround in Alumalook paint, and added a small silver rechargable flashlight to the cigarette lighter, instead of the lighter itself.

Nice. Did you remove the dash strips to paint them ?
Quotes source post: 11501605
Yes I did. The two on either side of the steering wheel weren't bad. You need to remove vent near the driver's side door to get to the one near the ignition. I had my gauge cluster console off anyway for another job, so the one between the steering wheel and the radio was easy too. (not sure if you need to remove the gauge console, but it made it easy) The one on the passenger side was a pain in the @ss. It took a long handled driver, a swivel extension, a torx bit, a mirror, and a flashlight to get to six or so torx screws that hold it on. I got it eventually. I sanded and painted them, then put them back on. I also did the rosette surround around the ignition. That pops right off.
Frisbee, I like that idea and I like the aluminum trim rings around the gauges. I think I like this two tone grey too...
I added a grey leather covered rear center console and grey floor mats to my all black interior.
Changing up the seats will have the biggest impact... Painted rear center console with Carbon Fiber Shift **** and E-Brake
$7 in goodwill leather and a $20 craigslist sewing machine. Also removed the three dash trim strips and painted them Glacier White to match the car. I think I'm going to do some of the horseshoe trim or something else to tie it all together. I want to do white gauge trim to go with the gauge faces and the rest of the interior, but that's just one thing on a list of many. I also added a three spoke steering wheel about a month ago, but don't have a picture of it yet.

Hi Randy, Car looks great! Where did you get 911emblem on he bat wing of the center console?
carnewal in europe just go to the website!
Here's mine. It's Natural Brown Leather with the aluminum shifter ****, parking brake and steering wheel option. It's not anything crazy, but it's not a color you see every day.
Here's a shot of my added "alumalook" parts... Ignition rosette, dash trim, ashtray & surround - Painted (duplicolor BGM0340 silver metallic) Gauge rings and pedals (ebay)
Frisbee, what color interior is that, black, grey or blue? Hard to tell in the pics Anybody have any two tone interiors? I've seen some odd combos on Google images, I would think there are a few floating around on this forum.
From the factory. I almost passed on this car because of the interior painted pieces but I am really glad I decided to go for it.

The interior is Graphite Grey with Space Grey Leather bits. (1999 colors)
Silotwo your interior looks great, what color is the carpets?
I'll play. Not for every body...LOL
My perspective: John '03 Targa
^ One of my favorites.

Thanks The carpets are blue - build sheet only says "Z34 deviating carpet color" as the option, it doesn't list a color. But the floor mats are listed as Metropol blue and they match the carpet.

Beautiful!.....

I also like it when the headliner matches the carpet.
Here's mine. Full leather with Tequipment parking brake and gearshift. I wish I had the horseshoe in leather like John's. That's a really nice detail.
Continuing the boxster red theme, I bought a bunch of used parts and covered them in alcantara and/or leather then threw in same black mats for a two tone look. # 3 Int.jpg

I am also very interested in this. I just picked up a 2000 C4 Cab in arena red with graphite. I love the exterior but the interior needs help. I'm digging the deviated carpet idea- would black seats/carpet work??
IMHO an interior with a black leather dash with Garnet Red leather interior. The seats would have deviated leather seat panels- in black leather, the center console and door panels would be black leather.
Don't forget white guages. They're subtle but make a difference in breaking up the monotonous grey/black theme to the standard interior...to my eyes at least. -Eric
