Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I get the dreaded wing failure light when the wing goes up (it works perfectly). Any suggestions related to how to replace it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

POST 2Original post

To be honest, I've never heard of the "dreaded wing failure light". Do you mean like the spoiler light when you first start the car on the dashboard instrument cluster that stays on until you go over 3-5 mph?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When I hit 75mph, the wing comes up. When it does, I get a light on the dash indicating wing failure.I'll take & post a pic. The wing goes back down at 35 mph, No problems at all, just an annoying little red dash light.

POST 4Original post

That is strange. The ECU/DME controls the deployment of the spoiler based on the wheel speed sensors. Since it is deploying correctly, maybe scan the ECU for any error codes. Do you have Durametric?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

^ sadly, no. I've lived with it for 2 years so it's not that big a deal. As our cars age they become ever more eccentric. Kinda like my cool old uncle.
