Took a chance and ordered the porsche brand rubberized cord from 5150 motorsports. I found the technical bulletin online which says to put two layers of the cord around the sides and top of the windshield. If you have one of those plastic spatula type squeegees it helps in working the cord good and deep around the glass. Pleasantly surprised this morning with a rattle free drive into work! So far so good. Plan on doing the rear window next. The part number is 996-541-903-00. Hope this helps someone else!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Thanks for the update. I purchased the same cord but have yet to give it a try. Good to hear that it works as advertised.
