Hi all, New to the forum and looking into purchasing my first 911, a 996. I grew up in and around Porsches and just turned 30 and have decided its time, and I want to start off with something relatively affordable that still gets me excited. I see so much information here to go through but I wanted to start by sourcing some feedback on the options list for the car I'm looking at. Curious if anyone thinks something crucial is missing? It doesn't have full leather which is disappointing but the interior is black so it's not as noticeable on some others I've seen. Code Option Description 030 Sport Group 09991 manufacture from the exclusive-programme 288 Headlight washer 288 996: Light washers 413 18" Turbo look wheels 436 996: 3-Spoke steering wheel 437 Comfort seat left 438 Comfort seat right 446 996: Colored Wheel Crests 490 Hi-Fi sound system 537 Left seat with positrol and lumbar 982 Supple Leather Seats/Trim C02 Equipped with catalytic converter X54 Oval Chrome Exhaust Pipes X70 Metal Door Sill with Insignia X71 Aluminum Instrument Dials The car doesn't have full service records outside of CarFax, but I've spoken to the Porsche specialist who took care of it and he gave me the rundown on the services they've recommended and what's been completed. I'm pretty satisfied with what I've learned there. I'm aware of the IMS and RMS issues. This car hasn't had either addressed; any recommendations on how to factor this into the price I ultimately offer? I want the IMS taken care of right awaw once I buy. I'm in Southern CA if anyone has a recco on a Porche specialist who can do the proper (LNE?) IMS retrofit, as well. The car is a 2000 that had one owner for 19 years and only 40k miles. It's stunning. Will do a PPI before buying. Would love any advice!

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
