Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello. I've had my 996 for a few years and looking for a good independent local shop with experience with 996s. Next up is IMS, clutch, AOS and likely some suspension work. Portland to Tacoma is OK, but closer to Olympia is best. Thanks! 1999 (4/98 build) C2 63K .

POST 2Original post

If you dont find anything in your area, Akers in Seattle is top notch. Theyve specialized in Porsche for like 50 years. Over the past few years, theyve done my clutch, IMS bearing, AOS, installed my ROW M030 suspension (before the price hike), and lots of other stuff.

MAXRPM has a good reputation in the local Porsche Club community. PNWR

Dundon Motorsports are the best and are located in Gig Harbor

Keep them coming. I have no personal experience with Autohaus in downtown Olympia, except for sourcing parts for the 944 I use to own. The were great to deal with in that capacity. Otherwise, I have heard they are an aircooled specialist. I have not reached out to them about their qualifications for our cars.

Does Dundon do general mechanic work? I thought they were now more specialized and only doing racecar stuff.
