Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'd like to put some 18" 996 Turbo II /GT2 wheels on my 996 NB C2 (03), but understand the rear offsets for the widebody versions of this wheel (C4S, TT) would cause them to stick out past the rear fender. Ive done a bunch of searching, and have seen similar wheels on narrow bodies, but have not been able to identify the exact offsets I need for my fitment. Looks like stock wide bodies fitments are are 18x8 50mm (F) and 18x11 45mm (R). Has anyone gone down this path who can shed some light on what I need to be looking for? Pix for attention and reference. Thanks in advance!

POST 2Original post

Rear offsets for a narrow car in a 8x11 should be 60-63. Maybe a hair less if u have lots of camber. Dont think they make a twist in that offset in an 11? Lots of other choices though.

POST 3Original post

For fun I was looking at BBS e88 fitments in a GT3 spec. 996 GT3: 18x8.5 (+43.5) - 18x11 (+63.5) My sport classics are 18x8 +52 and 18x10+65 I think it would work but probably best if lowered a bit to help the poke. That 45mm might stick out a bit. I think. 90% chance I'm wrong lol

POST 4Original post

Check out this: Needs bit of camber and lowering with 295s it seems like it fits. But I would say you're about 10-15mm too far https://996ls1.blogspot.com/

POST 5Original post

Yeah I don’t love that. They belong on a 4S or turbo

POST 6Original post

I just mounted a set of 996.2 GT3 Wheels on my NB 996.1 C4, and the Offset is Perfecto.. Specs: Front: 8,5Jx18 ET40 Part number : 996.362.136.05 Rear : 11Jx18 ET63 Part number : 996.362.142.04

POST 7Original post

It's perfect because you mounted narrow body wheels on a narrow body car...

I love the turbo twists. I think I would swap for my BBSs if I had the chance.

Perfect because the ET is 40 upfront, and 63 out back.. NB Turbo Twists didn't sit as flush..
