I would just like to say thank you to all the amazing contributors on this forum. Your knowledge and advice here was invaluable over my 7 years of Porsche 996 ownership!!! I sold my car last week, because of some new circumstances. I will get another P-car in the future. I believe she went to a good home. One note for you all, I have tried many solutions for the headlights so here are my thoughts. Whether you keep the car in a garage or outside they will still crud over. 1) Polishing. I would have to use the Mother's kit about every 3-4 months and give them a good polish. 2) Painting, I pulled the headlights and cleaned them up and painted them with some appropriate clear paint. I got about 2 years out of this method and then it was miserable to remove the paint and polish them again. 3) Nu Finish. I started every couple of weeks just doing a quick polish with Nu Finish. This was by far the easiest and best method in my opinion. Thanks Again for all your invaluable advice!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
