Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Does the Durametric Enthusiast Kit do coding on the 996.2? I got the Enthusiast Kit for Christmas and it synced up perfect the first time. One of the things I wanted to do with it was turn on the "lock doors at 5 km/h" feature. I wish mine would do it automatically. However, I can't find it in the drop down menus. Does the 996.2 not support this function? Do I need the Professional Kit? Any insight into using this feature would be appreciated. Be encouraged folks! 2003 C2

Coding is on professional versions only except the 2003-2010 Cayenne

I havent found in usefulness to the coding in professional kit. Maybe I just dont know how to use it correctly for that purpose though.

That's true, just looked at the coding chart and it's mostly for the 987/997 series even with Professional. (I've coded the 987/997) Porsche Model and Code Matrix for Durametric Version 6

I own the professional version and I’ve done a lot of coding for 997s and 991s, but the 996 and 986 are very limited in what you can do unfortunately. It’s not worth spending the extra money for the professional version if you only service 996s and 986s.

Bummer. I wish you could do something like windows up/down when holding unlock/lock button. I coded that feature with VagCOM on my old 2006 Audi A4 and found it very useful on a hot summer day.

Would this be the only options for coding on the 996? Looking for a list. I may spring for the Professional if I could get the doors to lock automatically. thx!

If you notice, almost all the coding says “no” for the 996. mid I recall correctly there are two things that can be coded for the 996, versus dozens for the 997. Door locks are not one of them. (I wish!) I think it is enabling the alarm module and enabling cruise control.
