Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I recently bought a pair of sport seats from a 987.1 Cayman. They are 2-way heated seats. I understand the wiring on these are different from the 996 and there is a write-up on wiring up the fully adjustable, memory seats from a 987/997 but obviously the circuit boards are differ there too. I was hoping this would be as simple as swapping seat belt latches and changing out pigtails but I'm having a hard time finding anything on the swap despite seeing in other threads mentioning there being many write ups on it. Any help would be appreciated! NOTE: I have not removed my memory seats yet so I have no reference on the exact wiring I have to deal with yet other than to say they are the full adjustable, heated, memory seats. The first imagine is from the write up on Pelican for the full adjustable seats, the second is what I have.

POST 2Original post

I'll be watching this, as I have set of Cayman seats on the way.

POST 3Original post

Hopefully there is a follow up here soon, I saw on Facebook he did them installed and functioning.

Yes, I got them installed and fully functioning. I will be doing a full write-up when I have more time to do it. I took pictures but probably not enough.

I can take some picture to fill in your blanks when I do mine.

Here's the link to the write up. I had it written and ready to post two weeks ago but when I hit submit it had timed out and logged me out (took too long to write I guess...) and I lost everything. So I had to find the time to do it all over again. But here it is: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...l#post16767475
