Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Driving my 4s on the highway this morning in Staten Island and i see a forrest green Porsche closing quickly in my rear view mirror. Driver pulls up next to me and gives me a big thumbs up. I look over and see his beautiful 991 GT2 RS with gold rims. Thumbs up to you sir!!

I know exactly how you feel. I was cruising my usual route the other day and was headed back home when I was just about to make my turn when a white 991 GT2RS came out. Never seeing one in person before I had to make a detour and followed. I felt like a young schoolboy who just got his first kiss from his crush and could not stop smiling and giggling. I had the biggest grin on my face as we cruised a couple miles. He punched it a couple times, then gave me a wave and we went on our separate ways I know it looks good in pictures but man it's a completely different beast in the flesh. It was white with red interior

The thumbs up is the most sacred, pure form of appreciation from one car guy to another. Wish more people did it but it's a great feeling to exchange when it happens.

POST 4Original post

I gave a big ol' thumbs up to an older gent driving a nice late 80s Corvette today. He was clearly enjoying life. (... as I passed him, of course)

POST 5Original post

I got nothing from the little old Asian lady in my cars twin as we came face to face, lol!

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Follow up: went to local PCA gathering and who shows up....the green GT2 RS who gave me the thumbs up last week. What a small world!

POST 7Original post

in the old days all 911 guys would acknowledge each other with a flash or a thumbs up. They still do but there's not as many of them around. Maybe it's coming back.

Around here it's a two-finger salute with hand still on the wheel. For some reason, I thought that was the Porsche standard greeting.
