Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. They look nice Bill! I'm contemplating going aftermarket also. An upholstery shop near me quoted $1600 to recover both front seats and all 6 of the rear. Hmm decisions, decisions.

My seats have time and the expense to repair something that is not 100% comfortable makes no sense...Thus the quest for a better mouse trap begins.
I was real close to pulling the trigger on some Recaro cs sportster seats. The slider/ mount thing became pretty confusing and I wasn’t to confident in anything else so I waited around for sport seats to pop up locally. It took a while but finally happened... Easy plug and play, seat backs currently getting painted guards red. Won’t hurt resale. That’s my take.
Just my 1 cents, 1 because I'm to cheap to offer 2 for name brand stuff I had sparco's in my fiero last summer and sold them. they hugged my mid section to tight and it wasn't a track car so they had to go, they just were not comfy. The ones in my Porsche now are Sick Speed and they only cost me $425. So far they have held up just fine, no fading, no wear on the scoot in butt area, no rips.. I'm happy with them. I'm just not a fan of the big names with the high prices. For another $400 I had my rear's reupholstered with the same color stitching to match. I'll add one more thing, the side wings that would hug your midsection on the sparcos felt like they had a very stiff frame inside and there was no flex/squish. Which is what seemed to make the so uncomfortable for getting in and out and breathing and I'm not that big of a guy(5,7/184lbs) these sick speed wings flex and squish when I slide in to sit down so they don't jab my tail bone. Perhaps others have had better experiences, this was just mine. Hope that helps someone

I've got Recaro SRDs in my 1993 Mustang for over a decade now (at least) Most of the Fox body crowd sticks with Corbeau or similarly priced seats. I understand working around a budget. I also understand the concept (or excuse) of "Buy once, cry once". The Corbeau seats feel like **** compared to my seats (maybe biased but most would agree). I bought the Recaros preowned so I didnt pay MSRP and glad I could save a buck but I'm sure had I bought new Corbeaus i'd have already replaced or recovered them in the past decade of driving my car... ultimately costing me more than doing research and buying the right part, the first time. My two cents... maybe its useful to someone, maybe its not.

Not a bad looking seat. Can you comment on base height? I don't want to lose any headroom.
Not a fan of the stitching but for $600.00 (two seats) I could get used to them. But the thigh bolster looks to high for me...I'll hit my head getting in if I'm not careful!
Personally, those look like very nice aftermarket sport seating options. But it reminds me of some factory sports seats I've owned in the past. Comfort was NOT the top priority. They would fit you snug - tight on the shoulders and around the waste to minimize side movement when driving hard in the corners. If you want a comfortable seat, go to the junk yard and find some old Cadillac seats from the 70s. haha!

ya for the money, I have no complaints. the high bolster isn't a problem for me but I'm short, pale and pudgy so I cant speak for you tall people lol as far as comfort level... FOR ME I thought they were more comfy than the sparcos I had.

those shoulders and waste sections are what turned me off to the sparcos.. the sparcos had a frame in them, these sick speeds is just foam giving you room to breath. I'm not trying to say these are the cats meow, just saying I'm happy with mine and I have sat in plenty of sport seats especially when you take into account the price. Brian
I am leaning towards another brand that another member here has; https://www.carid.com/braum/elite-x-...rr1x-bkbs.html I guess I will need to compare them a little closer to the SickSpeeds for the $$$$$

i have those Braums and i like them, they are more comfortable than the stock seats and hold you well, i popped out the plastic pieces and painted them the color of the center console
^ nice looking seat too!
Those Braums look good, painting the inserts was a nice touch.
Seats: Does anyone have Braum reclining racing seats in their car? Looking to replace my fixed-back Corbeaus with something more comfortable and would like to check them out before ordering in .
