Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 6Original post

Embedde in the article is link to an even dumber story http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...e-to-new-model Must be a who is who in the world of sports car ownership stupitidy

POST 7Original post

Spent all that money and forgot to include rear view mirrors on each side(ala Mclaren) as well as take out the center mirror mount.

POST 8Original post

Why not just buy a McLaren? Doing this much work to the interior to still wind up driving a 15-year-old sports car with 300HP seems...well, I wouldn't spend the money on that project. Do not want:

POST 9Original post

Since the rear seats are basically useless to me (kids are grown) this would turn my two seater into a single seater. No thanks

POST 10Original post

That sales estimate is crazy money for what is still a 2008 Carrera S! The only potential buyer is someone who wants a center seat 911 Carrera S set-up exactly as that one and wants to avoid the premium cost of doing it themselves! I'm curious whether $75K of fabrication to centralize the seat and controls actually yielded any material benefit as compared to any other track set up 2008 Carrera S! -Eric

That person also couldn't be too tall I'd imagine as you would be losing some headroom with mounting the seat on the center hump. I can't tell from the pics if the car has a moonroof or not but that would also eat into the headroom.

Or.... the start of a cool track car: https://rennlist.com/forums/racing-a...r-racecar.html

POST 13Original post

Maybe it doesn't matter once you have a full cage welded in anyway, but in a non-cage car, I'd think I'd rather have my head closer to one of the A-pillars than in the middle.
