Yes. Well, where my cassette holders are. The second slot up from the bottom. I've found that I'm not using cassettes very often these days!

Thanks, I'm doing the same thing, sort of. My plan was DIY storage bin, and I've successfully removed the 4 cassette trays, but the surrounding panel is kinda the wrong size for a storage bin. Yours will be fine. Now I want cup holders there, but my budget is like $10-ish. Also, I washed the rubber mat in the lower bin, and you don't want to do that. It altered its shape, now doesn't lay flat, not sure how to get it back. Good luck.

Much better than cassette (obviously), but I'm even trying to get away from CD's, converting my cd's to files (touchscreen jukebox). My home stereo is good enuf that mp3 quality is not good enuf, but CD quality files are HUGE. In the car I'm not sure if could hear the diff btw. mp3 and cd quality, hmm.

I stream everything from my smart phone via Bluetooth these days... Added an adapter to an aux input.

Thanks frisbee but I now have an extra cassette bin as well. I ended up buying a new storage bin for $40 and drilled a hole it to install a USB power cord and a remote Radar detector alert. The install looks great.
