Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

O wow, that looks like it would pull so much more air than my duck tail.

Thanks, love that CF ducktail but worry about water coming into the top of the motor.

That looks no larger than a 996.1 GT3/Aerokit spoiler deck. I've driven my 996 with the 996.1 aerokit spoiler during a tropical storm and it was just fine. In fact that looks about like the opening for my 996.2 GT3/Aerokit deck too. The factory airbox is designed to allow any water to drain instead of ending up in the engine. The opening above does not end up on top of the engine. A little might come through the fan, but most should drain through the intake opening and then down to the ground via the airbox.
You'd need to buy the GT3 wing base engine lid that has the ram air
