Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Started to clean that area close to that AOS breather vent valve on right hand side on engine bay and noticed that there's some open socket/connector etc - what that might be?

POST 2Original post

Totally guessing - engine compartment temperature sensor that resides between the intake runners on Bank 2.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Big thanks - does the other end connect to something (that metallic part) - that looks like a o-ring?

POST 5Original post

Other end is the Hall effect sensor. Reads cam position from the disc on the end of the intake cam. No other connection.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, so is that thing in place in that picture? I'm bit lost here.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ss there's a wire missing that should connect to that?

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can someone verify this information - is it really so that ROW models have only that sensor on bank 1 - makes me wonder why the sensor is there but no connection ... scratching my head.... https://www.renntech.org/topic/10953...comment=311818

Removed reply because I thought you were asking about the breather valve and not the connection.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
