Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just took my (new) 996tt for a spin today. One thing I noticed off the bat is that there was condensation build up on the windshield. After I parked the car, I noticed a liquid pooling towards the front middle (maybe 2/3rds the way up to the front of the car). The leak has since stopped. It looks clear, has no odor, and tastes like water - so my guess is that it is in fact water. Is this something to be concerned about? Any relation to the condensation build up on the windshield? Should I take it to my mechanic? Thanks in advance!

POST 2Original post

AC condensation. You need to make sure your condensate drain tube is clear and not stopped up. It is normal to have condensate drip even after turning off the engine. Here in muggy Florida, at stop lights every car has a pool of water underneath, sometimes a lot of water.

POST 3Original post

If you have a dehumidifier, consider running that to remove any residual moisture in the car. You dont want mold forming.
