Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello to all, I have a 99 cab and have a quick question. I have searched with no luck to an answer. The cloth is beginning to come loose on the cover to the pop up rollover bars. I would like to remove the cover to glue it back down but don't know if I can just pry it off or is it like an air bag cover. Someone told me there is a switch that will activate the rollover bars and make it go up and down. True? Any help would be appreciated.

Don't pry anything. You will crack the old plastic - ask me how I know. Remove the entire cover. You need to lower the rear seat cushions and remove the panel. There are two screw on the front of the cover and 4-5 on the back. Not sure what position the top has to be in - don't remember, but its not hard to remove. Once the whole thing is off you can remove the covers from the bottom.

Find a spot in the road where you can get a little bit of "air" they will both automatically open for you. This works better if you have the Porsche skid plate on in case you land too hard.
