Hello Everyone - I am new to the membership as of today! I have the base 1999 Carrera with the conventional cable throttle. My first question to the forum is... how do you remove the hard plastic piece on the end of the throttle cable that is secured to the brace on the throttle body itself? I have attached a photo and highlighted the part in question. I saw a video of a two-man tag team removing this same piece on a 1999 Boxster but access was much simpler. THANKS IN ADVANCE and STAY SAFE! Chuck

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Pinch the north and south tabs and push forward.
You might consider doing it when the engine is hot after being run or by warming up that piece with a hair dryer. That plastic is pretty old at this point and could be quite brittle. Heat will probably help to make the tabs a bit more pliable.
