Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Could someone take a picture of their center console compartment (the one near your right elbow if you're in a left-hand drive car) with the compartment open and empty? I'd like to see how big that storage compartment is. The reason I ask: I've had three different 986 or 996 Porsches in the past, and I remember that compartment allowing for reasonable storage. I now have a 991, and that compartment is TINY. I want to see if my memory of the 986/996 compartments being reasonable is accurate. Many thanks!

Thank you! So I wasnt going crazythe 996/986 console can hold a roll of toilet paper, while the 991 console couldnt come close. The 991 compartment can hold an iPhone and thats about it. Weird that the 911 storage compartment evolved to be smaller over time. Thanks again!

I've recently looked at the specs of the 991 and 992 in comparison to the 996. I mean, the older vehicles just look and feel so much smaller, but when looking at the specs, the differences are really small. The exterior dimensions hardly changed. However, the interior is much more loaded than it used to be. And maybe that's why there are areas where they had to get the space from... just think about the size of the center console and shifter areas in a 992 vs a 996.
