Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello All, I recently performed the 4 stalk OBC hack on my 2000 996. After getting everything installed and put back together, I found that I'm able to move through the different OBC menus by pushing down on the 4th stalk....however, when I push up on the 4th stalk I am not taken back to the previous menu. Is this operating normally?...or am I missing something? Thanks- Rob P.

POST 2Original post

Do you mean that when you move the stalk up, that the cursor does not move up to the selection above it? Or do you mean that it does not move you out of a selected sub menu? Pushing the stalk forward backs me out of menus, backwards enters menus and then up and down moves the cursor up and down. Let me know if thats a little confusing. Ill pay attention next time I play with the system.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Pushing the stalk up does nothing.

POST 4Original post

I just purchased a 99 996 and I would like to add the OBC. Does someone have the info to repost or a good active link? Thanks.

http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...stallation.htm There is a guy who makes the wiring harnesses also, $35 for the external switch ones, $45 for the factory column switch. [email removed] Mine is on it's way.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
