I saw this mentioned in a post. Is there any benefit to this other than more intake sound? Possibly better air flow = slightly more power?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

as you may have already read when you searched....just NOISE, no power.
Then the resonator stays.
I took mine out and added a silicon intake tube. Above 5000 rpms it screams in a way I really like. Not for everyone though.
I have the Porsche sport exhaust, not sure I could hear the intake over the exhaust.
Resonator delete, silicon hose plus AWE cat-back exhaust = a joyful noise especially 5K and above. I now hunt for tunnels and long underpasses to drive on, especially with the top down :-).
