Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Hey everyone, When I put my top on my 99 cab it seems like the roof doesn't seal correctly, part of the roof closes over the plastic trimming (I have attached pictures below). I have to get out and manually line up the roof so that everything is in line. Is this common? any reasons why my roof is doing this?

I have the hard top on right now for the winter otherwise I could have helped here. Is there some kind of wire attaches each side across (under or inside the canvas) to hold the offending part in place as the hood comes up to close? Stop it in 'service mode' and have a good look and examine everything including the snap on bobble parts at the back. Are both those in place?

+1 ^^^ My Turbo's conv top does the exact same thing. There is a piece of "cloth" that attaches to an elastic band that runs across. On mine, it was not attached. I pulled the elastic band from one side and now at least one side sits properly. The non-attached side does not do well and I need to figure out a way to "glue" them together (the cloth piece and the elastic band). Hope I made some sense. Otherwise, look in between the canvas top and headliner and you will see what I am talking about.

+1 this was the cause when it happened to me.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
