Is there a way to repair and replace this item? The one I have is broken and I have found one at a local junk yard, but I cannot get it off. Do I have to remove the entire door panel? Mark

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Are you asking about the arm rest on the door or the center console lid? If the door, there are two hinge pins at either end that pull out.
I should have been more clear. I am referring to the arm rest on the door. I can see the pins on my old (and broken) one, but how do you remove one that is installed in the car? Must I replace or remove the entire door panel? Mark
Remove the door panel to get to the other hinge. See diagram here http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=807-10
