Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am not sure if this will work or if it is just totally improper. I know nothing about electricity. If I need to source new parts I will if I can figure out the part number. There were actually two bad wires. I cut each wire and crimp connected a male and female connector to each wire and attached them. I sliced some shrink tubing and covered the work then fastened it with tie wraps. This is where I am currently. I though it would be best to post this to see if I am screwing this up and should just order new parts if I can figure out the part numbers or stay the course and get everything insulated and electrical taped. Just to be sure we all know what I am dealing with this caused the code in the top image. I will post a few pictures to see if it helps. I will not be insulted if someone tells me I am going about this all wrong. I dont want to cause harm to the car and I would like a repair that will past and be reliable. thank you, brian
