I can find mention of a factory option to have a 10mm thinner seat bottom cushion in old threads, but I don't see a part number for this anywhere. Anybody know it?

I do see the seat bottom cushion here, #9, but no option for a thinner seat cushion http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=817-05 Maybe take yours to a seat guy and have them shave the cushion thinner.

OP - The PET says option code I XSU-Lowered Seats (-10mm) p/n is 996 521 523 00 for non-heated seats, 996 521 525 00 for heated.

Which version? The one I got off Porsche's website says IXSU is "upholstered seat"?

The 05.02.2010 list on Porsche.com doesn’t show anything about IXSU front seat cushions, but original PET lists it with those p/n’s. Several sites show the 99652152300 and 52500 parts in their catalogs. Whether or not they can actually get the correct foam cushions that are shaved down 10mm is another matter. I believe these XSU seat cushions are only spec’d for the comfort seats.

Are these for the Targa seats by chance? I read that Targa seats have less cushion, but have not seen a part number.

Idaho911 - These part numbers do survive in later catalogs as Targa seat cushions, so I would say yes.

Do you know the part numbers for the upper seat? I believe those might differ as well.
