Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I found a set of nice rims off of a P anemara turbo that I may want to go look at. I was told that the offsets would work with my 996 NB. The problem is that they have a brand new set of Continental tires on them that are 285/40/19 & 235/45/19 which are taller than stock. Anyone ever have anything this tall on a 996?

POST 2Original post

Sounds tall enough to impact acceleration & maybe clearance issues. Surely the wheels are heavier than 996 wheels.

Post the wheel dimensions here on RL. I tried 19" on my 996 and it sucked. They were supposed to be within the right specs, but I had scrubbing and they rode rough to say the least. I went back to 18" OEM wheels. Perfect!

I am slowly coming around to that conclusion. I had bought some beat up 19's to put on the roller I bought that did not come with wheels. They look better than the factory 17's but I think I should be looking for some 18's.
