Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Still cleaning out the warehouse. I'm pretty sure these are Turbo Twists but unsure of the sizing and what cars they fit. Thinking 993's and 996's? Also what are they worth? Not nearly perfect with many imperfections and some peeling of the chrome on #4. I'd rate a 5/10 but planned on using them with winter tires. Thanks for the help. I have 2 other sets of pics to upload also.

POST 4Original post

Not sure what they are from If I read it correctly they are 17 x 7.5 with 23 offset 17 x 9 with 15 offset The offsets for the 17's for the 996 are 55 in the front and rear (I think, someone will correct me if I am wrong)

POST 5Original post

Could be Boxster? Def not 996. Or else it's some aftermarket thing. Is there a part number? The part numbers for the twists for the 993 and the 996 both start with 993. Edit: I meant to write originally that the offsets are completely wrong for 996. I am not familiar with 993 or Boxster offsets.

I'll post in the Boxster section. Thanks.

POST 7Original post

The 993/996 version are 18s, but the flaking chrome makes me think they are legit

POST 8Original post

Tim, Those are replicas of the 996 twists sized for early offset cars. So they fit 911 SC / Carreras, 944s pre 1985.5, and 1986 944 Turbos.

Thanks Ian! BTW, where in the country did your beautiful blue 944 go?

Relatively glad to know they're knock-offs, versus actual Turbo Twists that some cholo had chromed. :-)

Too funny. I wonder how many here got that? Spent 31 years in SoCal myself. Cheers.

I'll bet if you Googled Porsche + cholo this would be the only result.
