Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=B7qWo_u-9SI TOTAL 911 RPM TECHNIK PORSCHE 996 CSR RETRO VIDEO REVIEW I am not the biggest fan of tuned/personalised Porsche 911s, especially ones with a retro vibe (I present you with exhibits A and B) and have copped my fair share of flak on this very website for my modified musings. Maybe, therefore, I wasnt the best person to jump behind the wheel of RPM Techniks latest acclaimed CSR build, the Porsche 996 CSR Retro. Or maybe, I was actually the perfect candidate. After all, if I could be convinced than the car must be truly excellent, right? The list of modifications is truly staggering, with a mouth-watering raft of famous names supplying kit for the build: from Bilstein suspension and Eibach anti-roll bars, to genuine Fuchs forged alloy wheels. In the metal, the Porsche 996 CSR Retro pleasantly surprised me, its narrow Carrera shell, GT3 side skirts and carbon fibre ducktail blending together to create a beautifully inviting silhouette. But how did it drive? Youll have to watch our latest video review to find that out. Enjoy! POST 2Original post

I'm not a fan of the looks at all. The Pasha interior looks like the designer did too many drugs in an early 80's Disco. The black panels on the rear fenders look out of place as does the ducktail, which looks lost in the rear proportions. While I love my narrow body C2, this one seems to accentuate the narrow body. It needs some wider hips. My $0.02

POST 3Original post

I love it, maybe not the panel inserts, but other than that what a great package!!!

POST 4Original post

comical interior - i can't see straight after staring at it. and black fender guards on a narrow body?? ...silly

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Everybody has their taste and style I guess... mine is very much in LOVE with this 996CSR. I would probably pass on the original 928 Pasha interior, but as for the rest of it-- there is no hate in my heart for solid upgrades in performance and style such as this, for a 996.

POST 6Original post

Nice. I dig it minus the funky psychedelic interior treatment.

POST 7Original post

+1 on that duck & fuchs look but I still think the taco wing looks the best on the 996!

+1 on that... but would rather a brushed aluminum or smoked look on the Fuchs.

POST 9Original post

Anyone know where to get a good set of Fuchs (replicas)? They're the only rim I can justify spending money on...just so perdy.

POST 10Original post

Seriously, who takes a wheel with a factory airbag and replaces it with some old retro pice of metal just for looks on a car they presumably want to thrash a little? It's not like its a race car with harnesses. Maybe I'm just fussy on account of having watched someone die over a couple of minutes with a crushed chest, but I kind of like the concept of enhancing my survival chances.

POST 11Original post

The normal 996 csr car doesn't have the pacha interior , which even in the 70s was a subjective taste . There are two articles on the original non retro csr car in this thread . https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...-articles.html The coilovers suspension , poly bushes and limited slip diff inspirered the mods I did to my car , and I've got headers , 200 cell cats and a switchable exhaust I'm yet to install . I'm not going to go the carbon fibre bonnet and ducktail as these are silly expensive but the csr handling set up is a good model . Powerflex bushes really help you get the most out of your coilovers and sway bars Ive been thinking about Fuchs wheels , wheel dynamics has a good price on German made ones , $1900 a set .

POST 12Original post

Seems every possible Fuchs variations for a modern fitment is priced pretty high. The wheels dynamics OS Designs only come in 19" as far as I know and that's where it gets me; I want to stay with 18s. So you're left with Fuchsfelge from what I've seen and those are $3500ish I think?

POST 13Original post

More like $5k . I'd like 18s too but the Fuchsfelge/fikse 18s are very pricey . Tire rack now have a Fuch style wheel but it's 19" . Cheap though .
