Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am getting ready to start assembling my engine and can't seem to find the links to those that have gone there before me. I know I saw some documents on where to put the liquid gasket materials when assembling I just cant seem to locate them. I am also finding lots on how to take stuff apart, but not much on the reassembly process (torque specs etc.) Thanks in advance.

Tons of info here http://workshop-manuals.com/porsche/911_carrera_cabriolet_(996)/f6-3.4l/engine_cooling_and_exhaust/engine/cylinder_head_assembly/valve_cover/component_information/specifications/page_1571/

This forum has lots of good info but I wouldn't reassemble one of these motors without a serious manual of some sort. The Bentley manual has all the assembly info you need, except for the crank cage. Jake Raby sells a specific book that lists all 996 torque specs.

Good call.. Bought a manual.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
