Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone on here from the KCMO area with access to a PIWIS? $140 to program a factory key I already had cut is steep.

POST 2Original post

Unfortunately even if you got your hands on a PIWIS you still can't program keys without the cars specific IPASS code... This is a dealer or indy (if they can get IPASS codes from dealerships) only activity. However if you have the IPASS code to your car (which would be a very rare situation) then please ignore my comment. Best of luck!

POST 3Original post

yeah, from what i know it's hard. there's been a few threads.

POST 4Original post

It's not easy but in light of this - it's the cars security so it would be very bad if it was easy...

I have one as well, you still need the IPASS codes
