Have a great day everyone! I know gnat will be very disappointed, but unfortunately, this is the best I can do....

Gnat can go to the IHI forum, as I learned this week but did not review! Happy Thanksgiving to all and remember as DT says "No politics" over the dinner table!

Are you kidding? Tgiving this year will be at my ultra-liberal brother's house with his wife's ultra-liberal family. My pop will be there armed with his annual "how to F with the liberals" ammunition, perhaps something like why he believes The Bell Curve to be one of the best works in modern scholarly literature. If pissing these people off was a sport, the old man would be an Olympian. A huge argument will ensue; I will watch the world burn and work my way through the craft beer selections. I am ready to be entertained!
You are treading on thin ice Gonzo posting a pic of a nicely tanned, but naked breast \ Happy T day my brotheres
Just watched Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. Now the holiday can officially begin. Happy Thanksgiving!
Consider yourself lucky, I'm slated to have brunch with my 99 year old mother in law and her friends on TG . If history is any indicator, the main topics of conversation will include bowel movements, Judge Judy, and whether or not the cable box is recording her. Have a Happy Thanksgiving y'all. T

Thanks KC! Right back at ya!
We already had Thanksgiving a month ago.
Being from Canada and living in NJ I celebrate the holiday twice. Requires 4 days off work for each holiday. Come to think of it, I am a serial holiday celebrator. Christmas, New Year, Hanukkah, Ramadan, Rosh Hashanah, Kwanzaa, Memorial Day, Boxing Day, Yom Kippur, St. Jean Baptiste Day, Canada Day, Presidents Day etc. etc. etc. Happy Happy to all!

same here lol, he take a trip up to our cottage north of toronto for both long weekends
As part of the alt-TG movement, we had mail order Lou Mulnati's pizza and Haagen Das ice cream. And damn it was good.
Had a small group yesterday. 14 including my wife and 2 sons. Had a couple show up that I apparantly invited last week when I was drunk. Mrs. Gonzo was none too happy with me. My boys and their friends didn't drain my bar, so they must be growing up. To get even with me, Mrs. Gonzo let my older son take home the rest of the pecan pie, so there goes my breakfast. No politics were spoken, but we did survive a savage game of Scattergories. Seriously, is Waikiki an island? And is there such a thing as a Monkey Farm? I am saving up energy this morning to put up the Xmas lights with my FIL. What normally takes me 90 minutes will turn into a day long project as he tends to overengineer everything we do together. Oh well, at least I'm not in a mall... Happy Black Friday, because Black Friday's Matter.
^ bahahaha that sounds like something i would do
My sons wanted to experience Black Friday mayhem so we went to Wal-Mary at 6:30 this morning. It was just a normal Fri morning crowd. Turns out they moved it to 10p Thursday. Who knew?
Making retail people work on Thanksgiving is crap. Like most folks, I am a big fan of the almighty dollar, but close the damn store and let people spend time with their families.

I have a friend who worked from 10a to 8p yesterday and they don't even get holiday pay anymore! Don't even get me started about Walmart! I have found the thing I can do is take my spending money elsewhere.
Happy holidays from a new owner of a 996 C4S. Will be visiting this forum often.

EXACTLY!
For the past four years we have started celebrating Thanksgiving twice every year... Opportunity #1 is an overnight stay at my cousin's house a couple hours south from me. It's a nice house, on the water in Cape Coral with a killer vibe. She is an amazing cook and there are usually people from Germany there. This time around we met a couple from Ludwigsburg (very near Stuttgart) and he has a 1979 SC in gold. We showed pics and talked 911's all night. When I got there I noticed my cousin apparently just bought a brand new VW Bug Turbo convertible, black on black, Of course as the drinks were flowing later in the night she started (jokingly) giving me **** for not folding my kid up in the back seat of the 911 and so she could see and drive my "new to me" car which she has not yet seen. 911 is her dream car and I have offered to help her find a nice 996 and put it into reliable long-term keeper shape for her... but then she goes out and buys the bug because the financing or lease was easy... Whatever... Not sure if she bought it or leased it, I was too busy talking 911's with Oliver the Deutscher from the Stuttgart area... On the Saturday after Thanksgiving (today) my wife's and my local family members come invade my house for a feast. It has become to serve as the Annual family gathering to get my clan together since my grandmother passed away. When she was still alive would all make the effort to get together on Thanksgiving, Easter and Christmas... What a difference it makes when a true matriarch passes away! Glad my wife and I stepped up to give an opportunity for everyone to get together. Will be having a big slideshow of family pics featuring Grandma rolling on the big screen today... Celebrate well, and long!
