Hey Guys, QQ for you - I recently purchased a set of 996 hardback sport seats. I would like to replace the upper back support section (the perforated section as pictured herein with the horizontal lines), and found a bunch on ebay, however they are stated to be from a Boxster but fitting the 996. Is it safe to assume these are standard across the 996 and Boxster, and irrespective of whether hardback or comfort seats? Unfortunately I don't have the seats handy as they are in storage and can't get the part number on the bacl. Many thanks in advance (I did search but couldn't find an answer, hence my post).
Is upper back support section same across all 996/Boxster seats?

According to AutoAtlanta the parts breakdown of the boxster seats is full of 996 part numbers so i'd say they are the same: http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=817-25
I have a 99 C2 Cab. The seats on mine have the inflatable lumber region on both seats. I don't know if that is standard on all 996 models. If that helps you any. Mine look identical to the ones in the photo above.

Thx for the link, Dan. Based on the description (and part numbers originating with a 996 prefix), I'd venture a guess that indeed these are the same in the 996 and 981. Thx!
You're welcome, good luck with it
