Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Would a bad alarm module (mine got very wet after the drains backed up) cause the door locks, windows and convertible top to malfunction? Is everything tied together? My local mechanic says yes - that the alarm system senses something wrong and is working to protect the car. But somehow the top and windows SOMETIMES work. The door locks, not at all. It's now at the dealer getting a new module and keys. I'm hoping this solves everything.

POST 2Original post

Yes, alarm module controls doors and windows atleast, not sure about the top.

POST 3Original post

Yes. You might get lucky and have it working 100% after it's been thouroughly dried out.

Yes, yes and yes. Here is more info on how a wet Immobilizer affects the car http://www.ecudoctors.com/porsche-99...m534-m535.html I'm crossing my fingers that you get a good deal from the dealership.
