Hello fellow Rennlisters, This is the rattle that has been haunting me for two weeks now. I've searched the forums all over, but the source is unclear. Is it the dreaded windshield-to-dashboard rattle? IMG 1074 MOV - YouTube And if so, the only way to get rid of it is to buy that rubber thing and mosh it in there with a spatula, yes? From the outside, or the inside? Thanks a lot in advance!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

looks like it. You can also fix it by spraying high quality lube inside the rubber seal where it meets the windscreen. Won't last long, but at least you can rule out that the squeak is coming from the windshield.
