Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I searched some, but wasn't sure what terms to use to find a proper fix, so asking here. Drivers's side glass, all the way down, when shutting the door, the glass rattles, I know it's pretty normal and all cars do that, but was wandering if anyone came up with a fix? Thanks

POST 2Original post

I wouldn't say that's normal or that "all cars do that"... I know for a fact that mine doesn't. This being said, I would take a guess that your window regulator is at least/best out of adjustment...At worst, the window regulator may be on it's way out. The upside is that's it's an inexpensive and easy fix for a DIY'er like yourself. I just did the passenger side on my car and except for the fact that I was sent the wrong part (the first time - drivers side), it took me a total of about two hours to do the swap. It should be noted that this my first window regulator replacement - the next one would/will probably only take an hour or possibly less. Good luck

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah, Ive been inside that door at least two times, for door lock issues and have to go in back again. It is still on it's original regulator. Maybe I should play with it's position to see if I can remove some slack out of it's guides....

POST 5Original post

There is a DIY fix for a part of the regulator that tends to fail (spacer at end of one of the cables). Whether this is what's going on with yours is anyone's guess... Do a search here and on Renntech.org I don't remember which site it's on. Good luck
