Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Do any of you happen to know the part number for the rubber compression nut with a metal threaded insert that is used in combination with a bolt to hold down the plastic trim panels which cover the front strut tops? They always seem to have failed on 996es I buy, either the rubber coming apart or the threaded part fusing itself to the bolt. I want to pick up a handful in my next parts order, but I can't find them on the fiche.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, guys. "Well nuts", who knew! My Ace doesn't do much metric, but I'll give a look. I'm sure mcmaster-carr has them cheaper, but I don't need bulk quantites.
