Hey guys, A quick question for ya: will a 5 pin 996 mirror work with a 10 pin harness plug? I was sent a 5 pin passenger side mirror for my 2001 996tt by mistake, as the car actually takes a 10 pin. Anyone know what functions those �extra� 5 pins facilitate? Will the 5 pin mirror work w/o throwing a code? I understand the best solution is to return it for the 10 pin, but is it otherwise useable? Isnt the 10 pin, heated and self dimming? The 5 pin is just adjustable?
I�m not sure...I assumed heated but don�t know if self dimming . Anyone else have input?
