I'm planning on pulling off the corded handset for my phone that I never use and mounting a FM Ipod adapter in the same place. I see the plastic cover or whatever that seems to be either covering a mounting screw, or actually holding the piece on itself, but can't figure out how to pull it off without tearing it up. I've tried prying the inside piece off several different ways with a couple of screwdrivers, but haven't had any success. Any suggestions on how to pull that plastic bit off and/or what else I need to do to get access to the back of the handset mount to replace it with something else? Devin Noel 2004 996 Kuwait

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
