More correctly MY SISTER needs your help. My sister moved there a month ago when her husband was deployed to Iraq (for the 3rd time). She moved from Ft. Campbell KY. She is working at one of the Universities. Unfortunately she is all alone with John in Iraq. I am here in Colorado so not close at all. She has a Volvo that has started to act up. She took it to a shop and they supposedly diagnosed a bad Cat. Kept it for a week and then gave it back to her Thursday. Upon driving it home it began to act up again. Rough idle, could not get over 30mph etc. Of course the shop was closed. She took it back this AM and thy fixed a vacuum line and it was working ok. She had the day off and drove to Vero Beach to take her dogs to an agility trial. When she went to go home the car was acting up AGAIN. Of course everywhere is closed and she can't find a hotel that lets her stay with her dogs. After checking one last hotel she got back in the car and it is working. She is driving home to Tampa now. She is in North Tampa. The request I am making of anyone here is this: Does anyone know of a reliable Volvo shop in the area? I get the nasty feeling she is a woman by herself and is getting taken advantage of. Hell, they outsourced her car for a week and a half for a bad Cat??? She got it back with a half eaten apple in the back and rat turds on the back seat. Or is anyone a Volvo expert that could help? She is by herself and knows nobody. If I have to I will hop a plane to Tampa to help her. But I am not sure how much I COULD help. I barely know how to spell Volvo Porsche, BMW, Audi....sure Let me know and I can put you in touch with her. This just bugs the piZZ out of me. She is so frustrated that she was crying on the phone (and she is tough cookie). Thanks Gang

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Tim, sorry to hear about her car troubles. I'm in Clearwater but unfortunately don't know Jack about Volvos. However I do have two good friends who do repeat Volvo business with this dealership in Clearwater and they're happy with them. Volvo Village 13525 US Highway 19 N Clearwater, FL 33764 [phone removed] It's about 25-30 minutes or so across the bay from her. I don't know what she might need but if there's anything I can do, please let me know. Thanks for her and her husbands service. -Keith
Keith I will pass on your thanks. I tell John and Mindy thanks all the time. He is on his 3rd tour. She got it to the dealer today and they found it to be a software issue. This after the original shop charged her 1600 for Cats...... Thanks guys
