Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

42 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261026T152433Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POST 3Original post

I'm an "above the crease" kind of guy. "911" looks right, IMO. Simple, to the point, and noone will think you are a big-time Tia Carrera fan.

POST 4Original post

i like the carrera better because it fills out the rear. 911 is just too dainty and it's obvious it's a 911.

POST 6Original post

If the badge makes the car, why not put on "Z06" and then your car will be a better performer.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4765675

Nah....that's what "stickers" are for.

POST 8Original post

Quotes source post: 4765658

I believe the proper phrase is: "Badges? We don't need no stinkin badges!"

POST 10Original post

Which way gets you the most attention from women?

POST 11Original post

Maybe this poll should be made in a woman's forum?

POST 12Original post

Quotes source post: 4765984

Do we have a women's forum?

POST 13Original post

Quotes source post: 4766016

If not, we should.

POST 14Original post

Quotes source posts: 4766016, 4766018

Yeah, that sounds good at first thought, but just stop and think about that for a second. What kind of women would want to hang out with a bunch of guys who do nothing else in their spare time but hang out on a car forum? We would probably end up with a bunch of crack ****** here! Well, on second thought.... Hey John D., how quickly can you get the Women's Forum up and running??????

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4766016

Yep, it's called the "Disregard Thread" https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/339684-disregard-thread.html

POST 17Original post

...and the "Who Cares" people are leading at 38.89%!

POST 18Original post

Quotes source post: 4766159

The good news is that, unlike Ray's last poll, the sum of the votes percentages equals 100%!

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4766159

Actually, what that means is 38.89% of the people don't care. However, the flip side to that coin is that 61.11% do have a preference. So actually "who cares" is losing.

POST 20Original post

I like the GT3 on my reat decklid, though my favorite "GT3" appears in my rearview mirror when I look out the back window and see it in silver above the black carpeting in the back... Very cool. 911s rock. -B

POST 21Original post

Quotes source post: 4766130

Whatever you say, Imus.

POST 22Original post

Quotes source post: 4766560

Hey now, that's offensive.

POST 25Original post

Quotes source post: 4766363

I respectfully disagree. I wouldn't consider it winning to worry about what plastic words one affixes to the back of his car.

POST 26Original post

Quotes source post: 4769783

It's actually kinda sad that some have nothing better to worry about.

POST 27 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4769783

You can disagree all you want, but the poll above doesn't lie. Only 31% (at this point) don't seem to care. I don't think anyone is "worried" about it (I only posted the poll to pass the time). However, some seem to have a preference for type and location. No biggy....why are you worried about the preference of others?

POST 28Original post

Quotes source post: 4770171

Okay, I'll sayt this on Dell's behalf. 55 respondants on the 996 board (a small number of the people here) is not statistically significant.

POST 29 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4770188

Wow, it's just a silly poll. You are taking this very seriously. Is it not going the way you want? Are you feeling insecure about your badge??

POST 30Original post

FYI: from what I see, usually less than 10% of viewers actually post anything in any thread (no I didn't do a validation for this, just an observation). So with that said, a poll is not going to represent everyone on this board, only those that participate in this board on a regular basis. So polls and threads are primarily done for fun. Sure there are threads that are created asking for assistance or as technical information regarding our cars, but these are less than the ones done just for the enjoyment of owning a Porsche and having a place to hang out online. BTW...I answered 'who cares' because I don't

POST 31 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4770258

That's exactly why I did it. I'm glad that someone gets it. Sorry if the poll irritates some. That was never my intent.

POST 32Original post

Quotes source post: 4766016

Ummm.. are we talking about the Boxster forum?

POST 33Original post

Quotes source posts: 4770294, 4770336

Yeah, lighten up guys. It's a light-hearted poll... to me, at least. I voted "Who Cares" eeps!

POST 34Original post

I don't care (that's the way I voted). I don't take stuff like this seriously, but when others try to then I'm compelled to tell them not to take it so seriously.

POST 35Original post

I liked the poll. I think it's cool to hear what my fellow Rennlisters opinions are on almost any topic. As a group, we all share a love of cars, so it's interesting to read fellow autophiles' preferences. As for me, I'm a badgeless guy. The damn terrycloth towels' threads getting caught under the letters was all the reason I need to floss it off.

POST 36Original post

if u don't care about the poll then don't vote period. we're in a 911 forum. we come here to channel our love/idiosyncrasies/automotive hobbyist energies.

POST 37Original post

Quotes source post: 4770540

What compels you to do that? I think you take others taking things too seriously too seriously.

POST 40Original post

Quotes source post: 4772638

Yes, but not too seriously!

POST 42Original post

No "GT3 Cup" option? I'm going the the woman's forum where the real men hang out.
