Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What is the easiest way to remove the tips? The last time I removed my stock tips, I had a hard time removing the claps that holds the tip to the muffler. Is there a special tool or technique for that?

POST 2Original post

CHeck out this post. It shows some snap ring pliers. I didn't have any snap ring pliers so I used two screwdrivers crossed through the clamp holes and pushed the handles together to get the calmps off. Check out the "link" in the following link for more info. snap ring pliers

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thats very informative!!! Those clamps are a PITA to remove. I thought it was just me. Do you think its possible to remove the tips with the muffler still on the car?

POST 4Original post

Very easy to just remove the tips. The hard part is tightening them back on straight; definitely requires one person to tighten and one to stand back and make sure that it is going on straight and matching the left and right sides.

Booooo! I see how it is now! You don't DAFS the newbs when you get to refer back to your own posts lol. First you go soft on the pics, then you go soft on the DAFS - even after you created your own icon. Are you feeling ok? We'll still let you bash the newbs even though you're trying to pawn your 3.6 off. Come back to the dark side. Don't tell me you're practicing the new leaf you're turning over for a 2008 New Year's resolution. It's still too early for that! Muhahahahah NEMESIS!!! [video deserves an encore for the Newbs: NEMESIS !!! ] -td
