Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well at least you'll keep the mileage low. When are the replacement wheels arriving?
They are coming in form the west coast. Likely, 5-7 days. Hoping for 5. C.
When a car looks great with no wheels on it, you know the design is a classic!! Looks like it's ready to fly away! So, what rims are you getting??
Chad, I know you are not into "bling" but red calipers would look great behind your new to you XXXXXX wheels! Since the car is already up on jacks with the wheels off, it would probably only take you about 2 hours to paint them.
Agreeing with Tim, I pulled my wheels off my car (which is also white on black) and it seems so much more of an exotic with the calipers peeking through occasionally. Took me and a buddy 3 hours but could only do one side at a time! I get so many compliments on the calipers alone from anyone who knows cars!
Ditto on the calipers...pretty easy to do and mucho compliments thereafter.
Hard to tell from the pictures - are those wheel studs? Agree on painting the calipers. Stefan
Soon to be wheel studs. And...I am waiting to paint the brakes until I setup the fronts with a set of Turbo calipers for the track. Then, I'll paint the rears. More to come stay tuned. C.
Chad, I believe this has been asked before never the less, please share your proceedure for getting the car up onto 4 jack stands. Thanks
Sure... 1. Place jack at jack point 2. Lift car. 3. Insert stands. Ok seriously... I have two jacks. Lift one side up at a lift point. Insert my low profile jack at the rear engine cross beam and lift the entire rear end. Place stand at the two rear points. Then, place the jack on the front inner rail and lift the entire front. Then place stands at the two jack points. Do this VERY carrefully all the while making VERY sure the stands are secure. C.
Chad, maybe you could borrow Phil's wheels and tires. I don't think he's using them right now. (Sorry Phil)
I have the same Calipers as a base 996 right? I guess I never noticed that on the 996 they are black. I guess they must stick with the method of : 986=Black calipers 986S=Red calipers 996=Black calipers 996 C4S and Turbo=Red calipers could you have ordered Red calipers on a base 996? it seems like it would be easy as they have the BoxsterS ones like that ready to go.

Bwahahahaha!!! Ray, that is too funny!
A good time to redial the pss9 adjustment... for the street, my preference is 7f/4r, for spirited group dives, 3/3, for the track 1/1... post pics when you put the new shoes on!
